Harewood poses invigorating challenges for golfers of all ages and skill levels, with a choice of Black, Blue, White, Yellow and Purple tees to suit all abilities. The Club boasts some of the best practice facilities in the South Island with a 23-bay covered driving range, large grass teeing areas and a fantastic short game practice area and putting green.

The Going Bananas Show is a stage show that comes to a town near you every year. This is a series of shows based around two lead characters. Follow them each year as they face new adventures in wonderful far away places. The Going Bananas Show strives to bring back the magic of live theatre to regional towns and cities.

Tom Walsh is a World Indoor & Diamond League Champion, Olympic Bronze Medalist and NZ/Oceania Record with a PB of 22.21m.
South Brighton Surf Life Saving Club
The South Brighton Surf Life Saving Club was formed on the 19th of March 1929 with the objective of patrolling the South Brighton beach to ensure the safety of swimmers. Eighty years on they have grown into one of Canterburys most successful sporting organisations. Boasting an exceptional patrolling and competition record, the club has won over 300 National titles since its inception and has won the award for the top club in NZ numerous times. Our active members still maintain voluntary patrols at the South Brighton beach during the summer season with the safety of swimmers our number one priority.
